2010 ONA Annual Convention

Submit Online
Extended: Online Proposal Submission: Due by Sunday Night,  July 11, 2010

Thank you for inquiring about presenting at this year's convention.The strength of the ONA convention has traditionally been a superb array of educational activities, which are directly applicable to nursing. Based on the favorable responses from last year, the Convention Committee has chosen to keep a multi-track series.

The mission remains the same: By reaching across specialties and practice settings, convention presentations should strive to enhance the skills nurses in many phases of the nursing career.The educational purpose of the annual ONA convention is to impact and enhance future professional practice through discussion of innovative programs and research, nursing education and management strategies, and promotion of professional growth. Convention participants should be able to say "Something I learned today will impact or enhance my professional practice." They should be able to clearly identify ideas learned that will directly impact or enhance their professional practice.

At this year's Convention, there are three presentation formats. We are going to use one form only, so pay careful attention to the questions as they apply to your type of submission.
Follow the links below to review guideline details and selection benefits for each presentation type.

There are five tracks this year:

  • Administrators/Manager;
  • Burnout/Life Balance;
  • Clinical (Practice or Process);
  • Nurse Educator; and,
  • Student.

A total of four concurrent sessions will be held, as well as 3-4 keynote presentations. The Convention Committee invites you to submit one or more proposals for each presentation type most applicable to you. Please follow the links on the left to submit proposals online.
